ReddArmy is an independent record label, and a cultural association, and a collective, and produces and promotes Urban music from the first day of 2007, date of its foundation. ReddArmy is not interested in being a “gendre” label: we produce only some kinds of music, but we want to be listened by everybody, not only by purists.

Born from the initiative of Fulvio ReddKaa Romanin, web communication expert, pdoducer and author of six albums, gathers soon a series of good musicians, producers and filmmakers from northeastern italy, where it’s based. Geographically far from all Italian big towns (and venues), it is yet fast in assimilating the new web promotional technologies, and, even if with national distribution in stores, stresses the most of its communication into web viral marketing, “climbing” from there to more traditional media like italian national tvs (Rai, Allmusic), magazines (XL di Repubblica, Groove, Rumore, Blow Up, Mucchio Selvaggio), portali (Rockit, Hotmc, Italian Embassy, Indieforbunnies) and radio.

Reddarmy does not follows unrealistic dreams of economical profit, but to give voice in and out of the national bordrs to a series of artists that in other times would have been forced to be just local phenomenons. But even if the ReddArmy philosophy is somehow “no-profit” and “open source”, we try to deal with our music with the same love, passion, commitment and respect only true professionals have, using all modern media marketing instruments. Our “open source” initiatives are the basis of our nature, not only for the free music we make available, not only by the way our artists work together, but also with the way we talk and deal to our listeners.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Hi, what are the musical styles you produce?

A. Urban music (hip hop, r&b, dancehall, regga) and some electronics. Vibes to get your booty going.

Q: You are called ReddArmy. Are you dangerous communists?

A: Oh, come on. That’s because of ReddKaa. It’s ReddArmy. Hence the name. If we’d wanted to make a party, we would have made a party, not a label, fair enough? :)

Q. Where do i find all your records?

A: Into italian stores and practically everywhere in the net (Itunes, Napster, and so on)

Q: Do you press also physical records?

A. Sometimes we do.

Q: If i send you my record, will you listen to it?

A: We listen to everything is sent to us, and we even give an opinon back if we find time in between our day jobs.

Q: I don’t do rap or reggae or electronics, but i’m into a folk band – is that fine with you?

A: Yes, we will listen to you, but no, we’re not interested. We make music we know well, we can’t do everything.

Q: I make “bling bling and grills” rap – what about it?

A: We love pleasures in life, yet a full clichè album would dramatically decrease our interest. Be your real self – that’s what makes the best music.

Q: I make splatter rap: bitches, drugs, violence, dismemberment.

A: We recommend moving your musical interests to epic metal :)

Q: So if you like me you will print at your own expenses 20000 copies of your record and a video with a full set of bitches and lowriders?

A: Next, please.
